Meet Victoria

My name is Victoria and I am a contributor to this blog.

My background is clinical education in healthcare. Currently, I design and implement continuing medical education programs for physicians and other healthcare workers across Canada. I am pursuing my Masters in Education to deepen my understanding of the learning process.

In fields where knowledge and technology are rapidly changing, the worker is challenged with keeping pace and adapting to these changes. Online digital technology provides an opportunity for increased access, thus providing a platform for the facilitation of lifelong learning. My particular interest is in increasing the access of this learning through various innovative digital tools & technology.

The purpose of our blog is to discuss digital innovation in designing a meaningful ‘online pedagogy’. Our focus will be exploring an educational environment based on competency, challenging the mainstream practice of grouping students by age.
